Yes I have heard about superwoman, have you???

She is a Punjabi girl from Canada, from parents of Indian origin. She calls herself superwoman and her story says she is. When I first heard about her, I got amused by nothing but the name she had chosen for herself and then I decided to click on the youtube video called “How Girls Get Ready” and I ended laughing alone in the metro, without minding about the stares of the girls around me.

Then, I went and read about her. Lilly Singh! She introduces herself as “Spent thousands of dollars on tuition, graduated and got a degree. I make YouTube videos now. I am also a happy unicorn that believes in one love. Join me on my adventures!!” That made me count the tution fee I would have paid to became the good for nothing I am today. Anyways, we will talk about me some other time, today we will talk about “Lilly Singh”.

She is my motivation because in one of the low phase of her life, she started recording things about herself and how does she feel about herself and uploaded all those videos at youtube. On 28 October 2010 she started her own youtube channel with the name IISuperwomanII. As on 31 March 2018 her channel on youtube has over 13.5 subscribers and over 251 million views. Her most popular series features her Mom & Dad both roles played by her only. In her videos one can also see her roots to Punjab. In December 2011 she also started her vlog channel. she has also acted in Indian movies as well as in Canadian short films and videos. In March 2015 she did live performances with the name “A Trip to Unicorn Island”.

Forbes has listed her in top ten worlds’ highest paid youtube stars and her reported earning in 2017 was approx $10 milllion dollar. Singh has received an MTV Fandom Award, four Streamy Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and a People’s Choice Award to date in her career. In 2017, Lilly Singh was announced as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, to advocate for children’s rights.

So, when the next time you feel low my friend, understand you are a superwoman! You can start with “$0000000” and add “1”  before it in seven years by doing what you feel like doing. So, chin up smile and follow your passion!
